TEAMWORK PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED!

Team winners
Two chefs from Christ’s Hospital boarding school in Horsham proved they have the brilliance and patience to work in partnership after winning the ultimate teamwork trophy at Hospitality.

Challenged with creating a fish starter and main course in 40 minutes, Tomas Kourek and Robert Dant worked in perfect synchronisation, beating seven other pairs of talented chefs to become the ‘Essential Cuisine Team 2009’ at the Salon Culinaire on January 21st.

RECORD BREAKING ROAST

Roast Record AttemptEssential Cuisine is thrilled to be supporting Gregg Pryce and his team of 14 chefs at the East of England Agricultural Society’s Great British Roast Dinner record attempt. On the 22nd February 2009, the team will be aiming for fame and glory in breaking the Guinness World Record for the Largest Simultaneous Roast Meal.

To match this world class catering effort, Gregg and the team will need world class gravy. In order to achieve this Essential Cuisine is providing lashings of their Classic Beef Demi Glace which can be combined with the meat juices to create the perfect gravy. Essential Cuisine’s Beef Demi Glace is designed to provide great taste and consistency, both of which should come in very handy to the team who are planning to serve over 1500 meals in one hour on the big day.

WHO’S MEAT WILL MEET THE MARK?

The three finalists have now been announced and will do battle in a cook-off at the Agriculture & Horticulture Development Board at Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, on January 28th.
